Echo and the Bunnymen
Echo and the Bunnymen hail from Liverpool in the UK and were at the vanguard of the Northern English 1980's musical revival. This was a band that had no political agenda who were just a bunch of beer swilling lads looking for nothing more than a good time. The band became the UK's working class heroes and inspired a generation. 'Crocodiles' was the band's first album and it reached the UK's top 20. 'The Picture on My Wall' was the fist single from the album and it is full of darkness and emo undertones.
Their follow up album 'Heaven Up There' also made the top 20. 'A Promise' was the first single from their second album and it is a classic.'
'The Killing Moon' is a Bunnymen favourite which came from their third album Porcupine.
'The Cutter' was the band's biggest song in the charts. The song also came from Porcupine.
Echo and the Bunnymen inadvertently laid the foundation for the emo scene that was to follow. For that we thank you.
