Kid Kapichi
Kid Kapichi are a band that love to play it hard and loud. This is the first English band since the Architects that I have instantly fallen in love with. They have that Madness sounds with a harder edge. In 2002 they caught the attention of the UK industry and they were nominated for the best UK Breakthrough Act.
'This Time Next Year' was the band's first album. It was a DYI production and was released in the midst of the Covid-19 lockdowns. 'Working Man's Town' is a song to the working poor. It has that 'rich get richer, the poor get the picture' vibe.
'Here's What You Could Have Won' was the band's sophomore offering and it shows the band has a lot to offer. The album was released on Spinefarm Records and expanded the band's base into mainland Europe. 'Party at No. 10' was a single from the album.
'5 Days On (2 Days Off)' is another song from the album that screams out for working poor all over the world.
This is a band on the road and worth checking out. There are the support act for the Nothing but Thieves North American Tour if you want to check them out. They are also doing a bunch of festivals in Europe and the US so, for all the dates and locations, check out the band's website.
