Television rode the wave that was New York's CBGB's rock scene and produced one of the greatest albums of all time with the release of their debut album 'Marquee Moon'.
What made this album stand out is the band's approach to the guitar. At the time is was very different and grabbed a whole lot of attention. Many believe this album laid down the foundations for the alternative rock and punk scenes that were to follow in their wake.
'Marque Moon' was an album that the critics loved. It appears on so many top album lists there are too many to name. Similarly, the number of artists that have cited this album as a major influence is long and diverse. Everyone from REM to Joy Division and Red Hot Chilli Peppers have praised this album and its influence on their music.
This a band that loved the dual guitar so it is only fitting to hear a guitar cover of 'Prove it'.
Television went onto produce other albums but their debut album really set the scene for the guitar led rock revolution.
